A Brief History of Coachmen RV
Coachmen RV products first hit American roadways in 1964. Production began in a 5,000 square foot plant in Middlebury, Indiana. In its first year of production, Coachmen RV made twelve travel trailers, 80 truck camps, and a single truck camper. Today, over 750,000 Coachmen RV products have been sold. Coachmen RV is a division of Forest River, Inc. and is still in Middlebury, Indiana. The humble 5,000 square foot plant is now a 220-acre manufacturing facility. Coachmen RV produces Class A motorhomes, Class B motorhomes, Class C motorhomes, fifth wheels, and travel trailers.
